Configuration Script Download

  1. Please download the script from HERE and save it in your Windows desktop
  2. If you have Windows 7 or Vista, Right click over the file and "Run it as Administrator"; if you have Windows XP, just double-click the file to run it normally

  3. Sometimes Windows will ask you for permission to run the script and make changes to the computer. Allow it. This is necesary because this script modifies the configuration of VLC to make it visible from VLC Direct)
  4. After you see the VLC window open in your PC, go to VLC Direct in the device, and do menu->settings->Automatic Connection Wizard. Then click start.

  5. That's it! (If you have any problem, you can you can watch this short VIDEO that shows the whole configuration process or check out our blog or send us an email)

Configuration Skript does not work, cannot found any VLC 64-Bit installation on 64-Bit Systems. The registry search key in script is wrong "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\VLC media Player", because there is no entry for a 64-Bit VLC. Suppose one have to use "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\VLC media Player"

After changing script, it start VLC, but VLC on Android does only play sound from a video, no motion picture. Why?

Hi, in new devices, the menu button isn't a hardware button. It is a touch button (usually 3 dots) and it can be in the top or in the bottom of the screen

Do - Make sure that you download software that is compatible with your operating system. There may be several different versions available for download; such OS X, Windows or Linux.
